Finish Carpenter

Our talented finish carpenters have highly advanced carpentry skills and experience, a desire to work hard with a team of highly talented craftsmen and the ability to take on progressively more responsibility over time.  Successful candidates have an aptitude for precision, will work with exacting standards of execution, and will be able to provide creative constructability solutions to a variety of design challenges.

This position offers an opportunity to be a part of one-of-a-kind, architecturally significant builds and work with colleagues who are dedicated to the highest levels of craftsmanship and quality.  

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Establish and maintain quality standards for all phases of construction, including precise finish scopes
  • Execute to daily work plan
  • Track work to the schedule and communicate regularly with foreman and superintendent
  • Read and interpret architectural drawings
  • Demonstrate technical and working knowledge of building methods and best practice
  • Mentor apprentice carpenters
  • Act as a positive advocate for job site safety

Qualifications and Skills

  • 7 years high-end residential carpentry experience
  • Be efficient, motivated, dependable, and ethical
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
  • Exhibit proper use of tools and equipment
  • Have a full complement of tools and specialty tools
  • Excellent communication, team-building and detail follow through
  • Ingenuity from technical knowledge experience with both traditional and new materials
  • Have reliable transportation
  • Be able to give and take direction
  • Some locations require the ability to communicate in Spanish at a basic level
